Aristrocraft Makado at Christmas Christmas of 2004
Here's the Aristrocraft Makado 2-8-2 pulling a Christmas train. At the left the train is passing "The Needles" and last points West before entering the great desert area. The green bridge spans the "Great Gorge" at the far end of the layout. In the lower right the train rounds the "Twin Spires" that mark the entrance to no-mans land.
Sharlene and the Grandkids watch as the train comes around past the "Twin Spires" and heads for the Western town of Deadwood. The Grandkids are, from left to right, Aaron, Lauren and Brian. Aaron's 6, Lauren's 1&1/2 and Brian is 9 years old.

Above is an LGB mogul I got when I bought a complete collection form a local man retireing to the mountains of North Carolina.

To the left is the station I built during the ice storm of 2005.

Train Collection

This is the first train set I bought. It's an Aristrocraft yard switcher know as the "Critterman". This one has the paint scheme from the Santa Fe line just like mine. The engine is a workhourse and I use it to pull the track cleanning car most of the time.

This is what I thought I wanted when I first began putting my "Wish List" together. I ended up with the Makado instead and I'm very happy I did.
